Age Concern Nail Care Service was launched in April 2006 in response to a request from the Podiatry Department of the local Primary Care Trust.

The service offers a much needed facility for the Borough

The service is available to anyone over the age of 50 living within the Wigan/Leigh Boroughand issubject to an initial medical screening.

This ensures the Nail Care Service is able to meet our client’s needs

Our friendly staff who operate the service, have undergone rigorous training and examination by the local PCT before being allowed to commence work.

Clients are requested to subscribe to the service at a cost of £12.50. This initial one -off payment includes a set of personal pedicure tools.

The cost of each subsequent clinic visit is £10.00

You may also have your finger nails cut if you have subscribed to the service at a fee of £2.00

Home visits are also available for clients who are house bound each visit costs £15.00

The service is exceptionally busy therefore an appointment is essential
